Ceviche Old St opens 30th March
We’re excited to announce Ceviche Old St will open on 30th March at the historic Alexandra Trust Dining Rooms.
A two-minute walk from Old Street roundabout, the menu will feature Ceviche classics alongside new dishes inspired by Peru’s Criollo, Chifa and Nikkei gastronomy, all with an emphasis on healthy, sustainable and Peruvian superfood ingredients. Expect ‘Torreja de Sesos’ – Lamb’s brain fritters, tomato & rocoto chilli jam & salsa criolla alongside our signature Don Ceviche and an open BBQ grill serving anticucho skewers made with a variety of meats and vegetables. Ceviche Old St will also debut Peru’s favourite lunchtime dish ‘Pollo a la Brasa’ – rotisserie chicken served in our own-recipe marinade.
The bar area will pay homage to the glory days of the Alexandra Trust Dining Rooms and have a distinct East-London ‘pub’ feel. We'll be serving our new pale ale Somos Libres as well as a collection of pisco cocktails called 'The Imposters': Peruvian twists on the classics.
Ceviche Old St will also be a contemporary Peruvian art gallery, showcasing the work of Peru's best contemporary artists exhibiting paintings, photography, street art and sculpture. Guests will also be able to purchase the art on display.
For founder Martin Morales it's the realisation of a dream: "We are in awe of the legacy of the former Alexandra Trust Dining Rooms and thrilled to take inspiration from it. I am very proud of my team and what we have achieved at Ceviche Soho and Andina in Shoreditch and now hope both locals and visitors to the area will embrace our partnering of British and Peruvian heritage and creativity at Ceviche Old St.”
