For almost 500 years Lima has been a melting pot of cultures, races, religions and above all, food. It is home to criollos, meztizos, migrants and descendants from Spanish, Italian, African, Chinese and Japanese people. All of these are united by being Limeños and have created a rich tapestry of cuisine with influences from their original countries but whose dishes, as a whole and individually, are part of the great Peruvian cuisine. And it is in Lima where that rich tapestry is most seen, felt, heard and tasted.
Limanation is a celebration of this Lima and its inhabitants who live, eat, work, love and cook together and have been doing so for almost 500 years. At the Limanation Pop-Up Restaurant you will find a menu featuring the very best of Lima’s cuisines from Afro-Peruvian, to Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian), Novo Andino (new Andean), Criollo and Chifa (Chinese-Peruvian). Never before have these wonderful delicacies been presented in this way.
Ceviche is a brand new restaurant opening in London in early 2012. This pop-up is the first of several that will be appearing over the summer.
